  • Error-prone app and unhelpful support

    Multiple times now I have tried to request a stay at a host, only to have the harvest host app (and website) give me the error that my requested date is outside of the hosts booking window, when it very much is not! Their support, while friendly, have asked their devs to look into this, and finally said that they didn’t know why it wasn’t working. That’s really concerning. This is a pretty frustrating app and subscription $$$ if it frequently doesn’t work, and their devs don’t know why!

  • Worth every penny!

    We have stayed at some amazing locations and met people we would have never had the pleasure of meeting. Meeting locals and supporting their business is much better than spending $50-$75 at a campground. We tell anyone we can about HH and the incredible experiences we have had across the country. There is no shortage of options and even in remote parts of the country we have found farms, wineries, churches, and breweries that we would have never known existed. Thank you HH!

    Whoever conceived of connecting these various types of businesses who had plenty of land with RVers who needed a place to spend the night had a stroke of genius. What better way to find a place to stay than a winery or a brewery or a daffodil farm or a honey Farm or a museum or a golf course. I’m just really impressed with the whole concept of harvest host.. My wife and I have enjoyed all the stays so far with the possible exception of the restaurant in a commercial part of a small town in Washington where the server admitted to my wife that her policeman boyfriend was careful to patrol that part of town due to the crime. We moved on. LOL. Even that was an interesting adventure. Given the difficulty in booking campsites these days, I am extremely grateful for harvest hosts. What a fantastic alternative.

  • Difficult to cancel

    Once subscribed, I found canceling successfully to be very difficult. Little to no communication following my requests, but nearly daily repeated attempts to bill my card on file. The listing of hosts is a nice idea, but I did not find it groundbreaking.

  • Our first HH stop

    We had such a great time! Right away, you know you are in a first class place. The parking pad is set up beautifully! Nice level gravel and a huge grass area to relax in. Not far across the street is the tasting room and bar for the distillery. Nice quality whiskey is made here! Highly recommended, as you’re maybe 5-10 mins off I-95. Thank you for a wonderful time!

    We have been members for 3 years going on 4. We have stayed at farms, wineries, breweries, churches, and distilleries. We have had some great times and quiet nights.

    It was our first time using Harvest host. We were able to find the business, pull in safely, and was able to park with enough space for our slides and steps and our extra car. Jim greeted us with a smile and was very helpful through the process! Will definitely come back if we ever come through Crystal River!!
